Fred Scott acquired a galvanizing plant in Ballard, WA.

Expansion
The building was expanded and the 10’ kettle was replaced with a 22’ kettle. Fred’s son in-law, Jerry Armstrong, took over operations in the 1970s.

Ken Mahurin
Our current Plant Consultant was hired for the graveyard crew. Little did he know what an integral part of the company he would be for years to come. He states “during the 1980s, most of the work was from the marine industry”.

Seattle Galvanizing took ownership of the company and quickly implemented a vision of exponential growth and outstanding service.

In search of a larger property, and with a vision to provide consistent quality service in a timely manner, the company decided to build a new facility.

Operations begin in our new state-of-the-art facility in Arlington, WA, where a 45’ kettle was born to meet our customers’ needs.

Main Office
Seattle Galvanizing purchased land for a corporate office as more space was needed for growth. The ownership group credits much of the success of the company to Plant Consultant and lifelong employee Ken Mahurin.

Here we grow again! We are happy to announce our brand-new, state of the art, 38,000 sq ft spin line facility being built in Arlington, WA. We expect to be in operation summer of 2024.
